Youth Group

We exist to impact lives for Jesus Christ by reaching out, growing as the disciples, serving others and worshiping God and praying always.

Lake Mills United Methodist Church Youth Groups aim to break the chains that bind us and burst the walls of our church and community in order to spread love of Jesus Christ wherever God would lead us.

"We Love because Christ first loved us..."

-John 4:19

Drop your kids off with our volunteers and enjoy our exceptional Sunday morning service!

Monday 6-7:30pm- “Kids Club” Join us every Monday night as our children explore who Jesus is and what it means to love and to be loved by Him. We spend our evenings playing games, doing activities, singing and dancing, and taking a deeper look at a God who loves!

MS Youth Ministry: 5th-8th grade

Sunday 11:00am-12:00pm

“Sunday Groove” What does it look like to “walk with Jesus?” This is the question we ask every week. As their faith grows, they will learn to exercise grace, love, patience, and meekness only found in Christ. As we explore the Bible their faith turns into something they hear about to something they are living in their own lives.

Wednesday 6:00-8:30pm

“Middle School Youth Group” Come hang out with us on Wednesday night and join us as we wrestle with the question “where do I find my identity?” We explore a wide range of topics that challenge our middle schoolers to think about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. As we experience the relational side of Jesus Christ our youth start to understand that Jesus is for us! Come by and see for yourself!

HS Youth Ministry: 9th-12th grade

Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm

My vision as director of youth ministries for LMUMC youth is to provide an environment in which young people may grow, learn, connect, and strive toward a life of serving God. The best environment to grow in is one rooted deep in love. I want to reflect Christ’s love on our youth and together reflect His love on all of those we encounter. Our youth groups will focus on discovering God and spreading the good news by living out the model set by Christ. My goal would be for our youth to focus in on the relational side of Christ. By doing so the youth will discover who they are, who God is, and who God wants them to become.

Confirmation: 8th grade

Six Retreats- Confirmation is a time for youth to grow and experience what it means to be a part of God’s church and what it means to claim faith as their own. Confirmation is broken up into six retreats where our 8th graders learn and experience different aspects of the Christian faith. We explore the foundations of the Christian faith, the history of the church, and God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our retreats take place all over; from Lake Mills to Chicago. Our goal is to educate and challenge our youth to start thinking deeper about their faith and about joining the faith community of Christ’s Kingdom.

Mission Trip:

This trip is going to be great. The goal for these trips is to put our youth in a new and semi uncomfortable situation where they can grow, be challenged, and experience something brand new to them. We have a wonderful line up of vibrant volunteers to help me lead this trip and I look forward to sharing and discussing more information with you as we go about this semester of ministry. I thank you for the opportunity and cannot wait to see what God has in store for all of us in the beautiful Wind River, Wyoming.

Vacation Bible School:

Lat year for Vacation Bible School we tooking the adventure of a life time with Rolling River Rampage! Lake Mills United Methodist Church invited all children grades 4k-4th on a white water rafting adventure to experience the ride of your life with God! Along the river children discovered that life with God is an Adventure full of wonder and surprise, and they can trust God to be with them through Anything. Awesome music, exciting group time, creative crafts, fun games, and memorable Bible stories will help kids know that God is always with them as they ride the rapids of Amazing Grace!!! Looking forward to what this year will bring!
