Dear Lake Mills UMC families,

Thank you . . .

  • For caring for one another and praying for each other.

  • For continuing our faith journey together by reading and learning the Bible.

  • For worship together.

  • For being God’s hands and feet as the witnesses of Jesus Christ.

  • For your financial giving in 2022.

With your faithful commitment to Jesus Christ in 2022, the Lake Mills UMC is continuing our ministry and mission throughout the Pandemic season. We are growing by looking in new directions to meet the needs of our changing community and world. The church of Jesus Christ has faced many challenges through the pandemic, but it was also an opportunity to grow spiritually and experience God’s guidance and grace through each of us at Lake Mills UMC.

We are continuing to. . .

Gather in worship in-person, in the parking lot, and through our live-stream.

Remember to study with various opportunities; Book Study groups, Children & Youth Sunday school, Kid’s club, Youth activity gatherings, family activities, Women’s group activities, children’s time, choir, and adult Advent Bible study.

Open ourselves to serve through participating in and supporting many different mission events in the church, the local community, Wisconsin, and UMCOR.

Witness as disciples of Christ by taking leadership roles and volunteering in worship, ministry, and events.

Since July of 2022, Lake Mills UMC is experiencing so many changes in ministry with a new Pastor, new Children and Youth Ministry Coordinators, and now we are looking for a new nursery coordinator and Music director. We branched into new ministries and activities such as the prayer chain, visitation, Children’s Time in worship, PowerPoint slides for the message in worship, Kid’s club, various adults and youth activities, and mission work to reach out to each church member. We are experiencing opportunities for change, development, renewal, and growth through new ministry leadership and programs.

As we look to 2023, we are looking for God’s guidance and grace to G.R.O.W in our faith journey together. Starting this Sunday, October 16, our entire church family is invited to a season of discernment and commitment toward the ongoing G.R.O.W. with becoming fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We remember that our mission for the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. So, we are encouraged to join in worship services every Sunday during this season and take one step closer toward our G.R.O.W. Each Sunday worship theme emphasizes a different area of faithful Christian discipleship.

We hope that a year from now, we give thanks that we have come to G.R.O.W. in God because of what we have committed to Jesus Christ in this season. Your support for Lake Mills UMC will support and help our ministry G.R.O.W., not only to meet the needs of the present but also to prepare for a faithful future.
