WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE UMC?
The May General Conference will consider denominational-changing proposals. Once-every-four-years debates have occurred for 50+ years over acceptance and leadership of LGBTQ persons. The growth of our church as an international body have made reaching a widely accepted resolution of differences challenging. A post-worship presentation on Sunday, March 22 will help explain what is proposed, the likelihood of adoption and the potential impact on local congregations. Overview and analysis by Steve Zekoff, veteran GC clergy delegate.
