Trinity Lutheran to Hold Blue Christmas Service

What is the Blue Christmas Service? It is sometimes called the “Longest Night” service. It is a service of healing and solace in the days leading up to Christmas. This service is a little different than Christmas Eve.  Christmas Eve makes a big deal out of Jesus’ birth, because it is a big deal.  Jesus came to save his people from their sins.  But this service remembers that Jesus came not only for the moments of joy, but also for the trials.  In the Blue Christmas worship service, we remember that in the darkness of life, Jesus is our light.
